Sound familiar?
When I shoot, my arm sweeps across to the left or right, and I don’t know why.
It’s often a boule held too long in the fingers, a forced shot or your upper body pulling away. You can see it, and you can fix it.
Module 6Shooting
When I point, my boule veers off to the side as soon as it lands.
That’s the “wrist twist”: your grip and release need reworking before the fault sets in for good.
Modules 4 and 5Throwing technique, pointing
When I practise, it all comes off. In competition, I go to pieces.
Doubt, nerves, an end that swings the other way. Playing well with friends is one thing; doing the same in competition is quite another.
Module 7Mental preparation
On a terrain I don’t know, I can’t find my landing spot.
Reading the terrain from behind the jack, choosing your landing spot, judging the distance: it can all be learnt.
Module 5Pointing
The only advice I get comes from my mates.
Without feedback on your game, you keep making the same mistakes. The programme teaches you to analyse your own game so you can correct yourself.

What the greats of the game say
“Petanque is 20% technique and 80% mental.”
Most players only ever work on the 20%. The programme devotes 10 videos to the mental game: routines, visualisation, self-talk, managing your emotions, concentration.

Your coach
FFPJP-qualified coach and certified mental performance coach. That dual perspective is what makes the method: he corrects your technique, then teaches you how to find it again when the game gets tense.
“This programme aims to help you reach your full potential, giving you the ability to analyse your own game and correct yourself on the terrain.”Find out more about Jean-François
Players using the method
I did a simply brilliant 3-day course in Nantes with Jean-François, then signed up for his online programme. […] The mental game section is simply incredible […]. As a result, I’ve become a very good petanque player, sought after as a partner in melee competitions, and I enjoy playing ten times more.
“Thanks to Jean François for his online pack, which is very comprehensive. It lets you watch, or rewatch, the points you want to work on.”
“If you love petanque and want to improve every aspect of your game, then don’t hesitate, this is the ideal place!”
Who is it for?
Many players do both: the programme to lay the foundations, the coaching course to consolidate them.
